Thumbnails Supported File Type Information
- Audio files are supported if the file contains a supported embedded image.
- Document files are supported if the file contains a supported embedded image.
- RAW images that do not have an embedded thumbnail image are skipped by the crawler.
- RAW images that contain JPEG or TIFF embedded images will have a thumbnail created.
- Thumbnails for TIFF, PNG, GIF, and Progressive JPG files are not created for images that are:
- 12.5 megapixel or higher on My Cloud OS 5 with less than or equal to 1 GB RAM.
- 37.5 megapixel or higher on My Cloud OS 5 with greater than 1 GB RAM.
- 37.5 megapixel or higher on My Cloud Home and Duo.
- iOS HEIC/HEIF files will only show a thumbnail when the file comes from a supported iOS phone.
The file must be uploaded using the iOS mobile app. - Android HEIC/HEIF files will only show a thumbnail when the file comes from an Android version 10 or higher phone.
