PrivateAccess™ is a fast, simple way to store and protect critical and sensitive files on SanDisk® USB flash drives.
Access to your private vault is protected by a personal password, and your files are automatically encrypted - so even if you share your SanDisk® USB flash drive or it becomes lost or stolen, access to your files are safe.

IMPORTANT:
- PrivateAccess is not required to use your flash drive as a storage device on Mac or PC. PrivateAccess is a complementary data encryption and password protection application.
- The downloaded PrivateAccess software file must be copied to a SanDisk USB Flash Drive connected to the computer before it can be installed. For more information, please refer to Answer ID 50695: This Application Only Runs on a SanDisk Flash Drive when Installing PrivateAccess.
- Ensure to perform regular backups of your vault data. For instructions, please refer to Answer ID 48050: PrivateAccess: Back Up and Restore Private Vault Data.
- Check for the latest app updates. For instructions, please refer to Answer ID 49556: PrivateAccess: Update Software.
- Please keep your PrivateAccess vault password secure to ensure access to your vault. If the password is forgotten, the files within the private vault will not be accessible and cannot be retrieved.
- PrivateAccess is not supported on APFS formatted flash drives.
- Ejecting a flash drive abruptly might result in data corruption and/or data loss. For more information, please refer to Answer ID 16458: Consequences of an Unsafe USB Flash and External Drive Removal.
- Formatting a flash drive will erase all data on the flash drive. Once the process begins, ALL THE DATA ON THE DRIVE WILL BE LOST!
